Crows Nest the Suburb
Crows Nest is a fascinating suburb, known as much for its buzzing dining scene as it is for its quiet, leafy back streets.
A suburb that
defies definition
With a diverse range of shop, bars, cafes and restaurants, Crows Nest is a popular destination for dining and shopping on the lower north shore. For businesses in the area, there’s a thriving sense of community, camaraderie and support – and they’re ready to embrace the opportunities ahead.

Hume Place sits on the edge of Crows Nest, spread over three sites along the Pacific Highway and Hume Street. Located over the new Crows Nest Metro station, Hume Place will bring new opportunities to the area, with residential housing, wellness facilities, outdoor dining, retail and green spaces.

Expanding the community, bringing people in the area and preserving the village feel. There are plenty of reasons local businesses are getting excited about Hume Place. For the last 30 years, Crows Nest Mainstreet has been supporting businesses in the Crows Nest community.
The community advocacy group has seen the suburb grow and thrive, and now Mainstreet directors Anthony and JoEllen are looking forward to a new chapter of connectivity once the Metro and Hume Place are completed.
A precinct
for everyone
“I think when Hume Place is finished, Crows Nest will be an amazingly popular place to have a business or live.”
JoEllen Henderson, Designer“I feel developing over the station will be good for the environment because it means fewer people will need cars, and you’ll get fewer people on the roads. I think it will help the village retain its feel.”
